Plastic injection molding is by far the most common way to produce large volumes of finished plastic parts . A wide variety of products are manufactured using injection molding, which vary greatly in their size, complexity, and application.
The plastic injection molding process requires the use of an injection molding machine, raw plastic material, and a mold. Once the plastic injection molds are ready, The injection molding cycle is as follows:
1). Dry the raw plastic resin and if necessary, they can be blended with pigments or master batch colorants.
2). Pour into the hopper of injection molding machine
3). Material enters barrel, then melts and mixes there
4). The mold closes automatically, material is injected through a gate and into the mold cavity.
5). Molten material cooled to solidify the part inside the cavity.
6. Mold opens and the part is injected to begin a new cycle from step 4.
